We are currently seeking qualified individuals for a Full-Time Mortgage Loan Processor position, located in our North Austin offices near Parmer and MoPac. Schedule: Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8am and 6pm THE ROLE The Mortgage Loan Processor prepares loan applications for underwriting submission and closing. This requires regular member contact to obtain all documents necessary to fully and properly document loan requests. | | Duties: | Mortgage Lending Activities: Requests property appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicant's evaluation Corresponds with or requests information from applicant or third parties to resolve questions regarding application information Compiles, processes, and closes loan packages while facilitating communication with applicant according to established standards on topics such as fees, loan repayment options, loan product options, and other credit terms Communicates the processing stages and status of all mortgage loan files to the Mortgage Lending Specialist Ensures that closing and funding of mortgage loans are done in a timely manner Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy Promotes and cross-sells other credit union products and services as appropriate Compiles and provides loan data in support of marketing and sales promotion programs Assists with member inquiries and information requests, and resolves complaints relating to loan products and services offered Manages and maintains a continuous pipeline of mortgage loans in various stages of processing, from initial application through closing Facilitates loan inquiries, loan applications, and meetings when the Mortgage Lending Specialist is unavailable Addresses multiple demands simultaneously, including a high volume of phone calls, prompt return of same, all while maximizing high quality customer service (providing a "Wow" experience) and efficiently administering and processing loan applications
Home Equity Lending Activities: In conjunction with a Supervisor, this position will be responsible for processing AMPLIFY's Home Equity Loan product, 2nd Lien Purchase Money product, Secondary Marketable Mortgage product (including FHA, VA and USDA) products and AMPLIFY's Portfolio 1st Lien Mortgage product, to include assessment of member needs and follow through with loan closing. | | Qualifications: | Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required plus a minimum of three years mortgage loan processing experience. Knowledge of Texas Home Equity Loan processes is desired. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be bondable Software & Equipment Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and be efficient with the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office products, Credit Bureau Systems, financial calculators, Mortgagebot, DU, LP, Doc Magic, Optimal Blue and Calyx. Other Qualifications The following are also requirements for this position: Proven excellence in customer service, follow up, and follow through; Must have excellent judgment skills to make quick decisions within written policy and standard operating procedures, and must be extremely detail oriented and accurate while processing high volumes of files; Must have or quickly obtain working knowledge of the credit union's products and services (including the Home Equity Loan product and processes), policies, and the Federal Credit Union Act including bylaws and regulations that apply to federally chartered credit unions; Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures and familiarity with state and federal NCUA regulations are required. Additional regulations the employee should understand include, but are not limited to: HMDA, Regulation Z, Regulation B, the FHLMC, FNMA, FHA rules and processes; Ability to speak and write Spanish fluently is not required, but is a plus.
