AMPLIFY Selection Process
Application We request that everyone complete an application that reflects all of the jobs you have held in the last seven years in order to be considered for one of our posted positions. We know this can be tedious, especially if you have held numerous jobs over that time period. You may be tempted to enter "see resume" rather than complete all of the fields.
The reason we ask you to enter all of your information is to prevent you from having to enter that information later if we invite you to interview. If we extend a job offer to you, the application is the document we use to perform your background check.
So, you've submitted your application for an AMPLIFY job posting. You may be wondering what happens next. If so, read on. Initial Screening Every application is important to us, because the person it represents may be the perfect person for the job and our organization. We take the time to review every application in full. Because of the number of applications we receive for each position, we are not able to contact every applicant. Applicants who appear to meet the minimum requirements for the job will be contacted. Depending on the number of applicants, this process can take two weeks or longer. First Interview If you are selected to participate in the interview process, your first interview will typically be an in-person meeting with a member of Human Resources. This initial meeting gives us an opportunity to learn more about you, while giving you a chance to learn more about the role and AMPLIFY. The hiring manager will review the applications and interview notes of all the candidates interviewed, and then decide which individuals will take the next step in the process. If you are not selected to move on, we will let you know. Second Interview If the hiring manager feels you are a strong candidate after reviewing your application and interview notes, then a member of Human Resources will call you to schedule your second interview.
Usually this interview is with the hiring manager, but he or she may elect to invite one or more team members to speak with you as well. Depending on the number of people involved, the second interview may last 30 minutes to three hours. Your Human Resources contact will let you know how much time to budget for your interview.
This step in the selection process can take anywhere from one week to three or four weeks to complete, depending on schedules and the number of candidates to be interviewed. In certain circumstances, you may have a third or fourth interview. We know how nerve-wracking it can be waiting for news about a job. So if the interviews extend beyond two weeks, your Human Resources contact will email you periodically to keep you informed of our progress. If you are not selected for the position, we will be sure to let you know. Reference Check We conduct our reference checks using an online survey that is administered by SkillSurvey. If you are a top candidate for the position for which you are interviewing, we will send you an email with instructions for entering your references. SkillSurvey will send you a second email with a link to the site so that you can enter your references online. SkillSurvey will then generate an email from you that will invite your references to assist you with your application process by responding to the survey. We require five references, at least two of which should be current or former managers. This is to ensure that at least three of your references will respond to the survey. Once at least three of your references respond, an aggregated reference report will be generated. Offer Once the interviews and reference checks are completed, the hiring manager will decide which candidate he/she would like to invite to join AMPLIFY. If you are selected, you will be contacted by a member of Human Resources, who will extend the offer to you verbally and then forward the formal offer to you via email. The offer is contingent upon the following: - You are able to provide acceptable proof of your eligibility to work in the United States within three days of your hire; and
- You are bondable by a credit union; and
- Your background check is satisfactory; and, for most of our positions,
- Your credit check is satisfactory.
Credit Check
Most of our positions require a credit check. Less-than-perfect credit does not automatically bar you from employment with AMPLIFY. However, if you had or currently have credit issues, you should be prepared to discuss what led to the issues and what you have done or are doing to make restitution to the creditor(s). In addition, we require documentation from the creditor(s) of your repayment agreement(s).
New Employee Orientation (NEO) If you pass the contingencies and accept our offer of employment, you will be welcomed onto the AMPLIFY team with New Employee Orientation. Depending on your role, NEO lasts from three to seven days. The entire first day focuses on our company history and the AMPLIFY culture.
